The WordMill Writers' Residency - May 2019
The WordMill is a grand 1900s manor house in the pretty village of Axat, an hour's drive from the Spanish border. The WordMill is surrounded by stunning views of Languedoc-Roussillon mountains, gorges and pine forests. The beauty and serenity of the area is the perfect setting for literary artists to relax, whilst the WordMill house provides spacious and luminous living space for your creative project.
In May, we are offering a catered residency for three writers at £1200 per person per month.
The residency is open to writers, journalists, social media artists, creative programmers and coders at all stages of their career. It is self-directed and will suit individuals who prefer to take responsibility for their daily work routine and creative development. The WordMill offers:
One month's accommodation in the South of France from 1st to 31st May 2019.
Managed provision of meals and the house. Your hosts, Jess and Ann, will be on-site to prepare two meals (breakfast and dinner) and the house so that you can fully devote your attention to your art.
A private double bedroom with working space, as well as access to the shared spaces and resources of the house.
The option to workshop or discuss your project with your fellow resident and/or residency hosts.
